Everyone who is going to be baptized is asked to arrive at the church at 10:15 am in the Next Steps room. You will meet a pastor or ministry leader there and they will explain where you can change your clothes, how to make your way into the waters of baptism, and ensure you are ready for your baptism. Baptisms typically take place right after worship and before the sermon.
Once in the water during the service, the pastors will pray with you, then lay hands behind your head and shoulder to help you go under the water. When you come up out of the water, please know that it is fully acceptable to express your feelings. This is a very emotional time. There is nothing more beautiful than people cheering and joining in with you as you celebrate your faith in Jesus. You will then leave the water, dry off, watch and rejoice with the other people who are getting baptized. We will send you a certificate of your baptism to commemorate your commitment to Jesus.
Come wearing the clothes you intend to be baptized in. We encourage everyone to wear shorts and a dark t-shirt. Women may be most comfortable wearing a swimsuit under their clothes, but it's not required. We do have a few spare towels at the church, but you are encouraged to bring one with you. After the baptism, you may use the shower areas in the men's or women's restrooms to change into dry clothing.
What people typically wear/bring:
- Waterproof Shorts
- Darker T-Shirt
- Sandals or Shower-shoes to use after getting out of the water
- Towel
- Full Change of Clothing
- Their family, friends, and loved ones
Nothing is more important to us than our relationship with Jesus, and this is a great opportunity to celebrate it! You are more than welcome to invite friends and family members to watch your baptism. It is important to us that you get to share this moment with a close circle of loved ones. You can also share this time with those afar through our live stream!

Please let us know when you register to be baptized and remind the Pastor or ministry leader when you attend the Baptism. They will figure out what will work best for your special circumstances.
Everyone is able to be baptized! Even if you can't get into the baptism water, we have many options to baptism anyone!
Taking this step with your family is such a special event. If you would like to be baptized with your spouse or a member of your household, please indicate this on your baptism registration, and we will get you both scheduled.
It’s important to remember that baptism is a personal statement of faith, not a religious tradition. If God has placed it on your heart to get baptized, don’t delay your baptism while you wait on other people in your family to accept Jesus. You will delay your own obedience to God and put pressure on your family members who aren’t ready to trust Jesus yet.
